Interventions
This download contains everything you'll need for running Phonics 10 (a 10-15 minute group intervention, designed to be run between 3-5 times a week - ideally daily).There is clear guidance on how to use assessment to place children on the intervention. Planning templates are provided for different aspects of phonics teaching and all teaching resources are included (no IWB necessary). There is an optional Superhero Quest that can be used alongside to motivate children who are more difficult to engage.
This file contains ready made resources for 1:1 interventions with children who have not made the expected progress in group interventions. There are sets of resources to practise each of the following:
- Reading graphemes
- Writing graphemes
- Reading tricky words
- Writing tricky words
- Blending words
Teachers' notes explain how to use the resources with children.
NB: Many (but not all) of the resources in this pack are also available in the gold treasure chest. However, they are not in one place as an intervention - you would need to find them in the separate phases under the different skills to be practised.
