This folder contains an Excel spreadsheet which lists all the Dandelion Readers and Launchers (phonics readers) matched to each phase and week of LaS 2007 and Lesley Clarke's LaS programme. Some of the books are fully decodable and others contain a few words which are not and would need to be categorised as 'Read Together' books. This requires highlighting the non-decodable words and ensuring an adult reads these words to the child at the appropriate point. The folder also contains a short pdf with information on how to use this list to match your existing reading materials - it is important to read this information alongside the Excel spreadsheet.NB: Please do not use this spreadsheet to order books (use the spreadsheet at the top of this page to support you with that task - called decodable texts matched to LaS). This spreadsheet is designed merely as a means of matching existing Dandelion readers and Launchers a school may have to both LaS 2007 and Lesley Clarke's LaS programme.
Possible Uses:
- To help schools match their existing Dandelion Readers and Launchers to each phase and week of LaS 2007 or Lesley Clarke's LaS programme. May also be a useful guide for schools using other LaS based programmes which have not provided guidance on this, particularly at Phases 2-4 (which are often very similar in LaS based programmes).
- To help schools identify which texts are fully decodable and which do not exactly match LaS.
