Phase 2 GPCs
PCMs for playing Initial Grapheme Pelmanism (pairs), in which children match a picture of an object with the grapheme representing the initial sound of that object.
A pdf with a page for each sound introduced at Phase 2. Each page shows 3 pictures starting with the focus sound (with the exception of ''ck', which has 3 pictures ending with the sound).
PCMs to make cards with a picture and a choice of 3 graphemes. The children have to identify the initial grapheme.
PCMs to make grapheme fans that show just the set 1 and set 2 letters.
PCMs to make sets of grapheme fans for Phase 2 sets 3-5. Sets 1-2 are available in the Bronze Resource Treasure Chest.
A set of grids, each focusing on 2 of the Phase 2 GPCs (in the order they are introduced). Useful for precision monitoring or the revisit and review part of phonics lessons.
A set of cards, each showing one of the phase 2 graphemes.
A 1 page chart containing all the GPCs taught in this Phase (in order of teaching). The single letters from Phase 3 are also at the bottom of the chart.
