Double or Not?: Aroot word is floating in the water. Decide whether or not to double the final consonant before adding either 'ed' or 'ing'. Select the correct fishing rod to reel in the word. Suitable for 'Revisit and Review'/'Teach'/'Practise' parts of the lesson.

Magnetic Letters

A whiteboard with letters of the alphabet along the bottom. Click on a letter for it to appear on the whiteboard. Write the root word first and then add the suffix (making amendments to the root word where necessary). Suitable for the 'revisit & review' & 'teach' parts of whole class sessions or the 'practise' part of the lesson with small groups in which each child has access to the internet to use the resource.
